According to the Vogelpohl & Spaeth factory ledger in the possession of the Brown County Historical Society in New Ulm, Minnesota, this organ was built in 1905 as their opus 47. It was originally built for St. Benedict Catholic Church in rural New Prague, Minnesota.
This was the relocating and installation of a used 1902 Vogelpohl & Spath from St. Benedict R.C. Church in St. Benedict, Minnesota. The pedal was electrified so that the Bourdon 16' is also available at 8' and a 16' Fagott was added.
