Steven Bartley on July 26th, 2025:

This entry represents the installation of a used organ. Identified through online information from Steven Bartley (July 26, 2025): from St. Stephen's web - "A new building, was erected next to the original building, in 1902." Newspaper accounts from 1902- 1916, occasionally mention that an organ was being used in the new building. An article in the Oxford Public Ledger, Oxford, NC. Jan 13, 1917, says that the old organ, which had served the church for many years was removed and donated to Holy Trinity Church Townsville, NC. This building is extant, not as a church, but connected with the old Trinity Cemetery. The article also says that "Mr. Stein, from the factory, was in Oxford, removing the old organ."
Oxford Public Ledger, March 10, 1917 speaks of an organ concert on the new Austin organ.
