Identified via email from Jill Hamilton (2026-05-12) and contemporary newspaper reports [see DOCUMENTS tab for clippings] of the dedication and concerts (builder not identified):
"The Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal), 125 Hillsborough, Raleigh NC bought its first pipe organ in 1890, built by George Stevens & Sons, East Cambridge, Mass. It had two manuals, twenty-two registers, and seven hundred pipes."
from The News and Observer, Sat, Sep 27, 1890 ·Page 4:
"The organ is a very fine instrument, selected and put up by Mr. Will H. Sanborn of Clairmont College, Hickory, N.C."
