Updated through online information from Jim Thompson. -- An image has been added to the church's web site of the chancel circa 1900, with the Roosevelt Organ displayed.
Updated through online information from Jim Thompson. -- According to the church's history posted on its website, at some point during the service of Rector Rev William Wagner, Jr (1964-1978) "an electronic organ replaced the very old pipe organ" (no mention is made of a builder of either the pipe organ or the electronic instrument). This electronic organ was destroyed in the fire of 1989 which severely damaged the structure. The church was restored to its original design and the Wicks organ was installed in 1993 as part of the restoration. (http://www.stmarks-islip.org/index_files/Page426.htm)
Built for a new church bldg in 1880. Moved to First United Methodist, Amityville, NY in 1921.
