Database Manager on November 20, 2008:

Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The facade is 7-sectional containing 39 pipes arranged: 5-5-7-5-7-5-5. These are from the Great 8' Open Diapason of 80% tin and 20% lead. Most of the remainder of the Great metal pipework is 50/50 tin/lead. The Swell is in the pedestal. The expression louvers are horizontal. The Pedal is behind the case and has 2 independent registers: 16-8-4 wood/metal Double Open, and a metal 16-8 Trombone. The Great 16' Bourdon is also borrowed to the Pedal. The bottom manual is a permanent coupling manual. The two manual-to-pedal couplers, the Swell Tremolo, and the Zimbelstern are all controlled by hitch-down pedals. The organ was dedicated by Earl L. Miller on April 27, 1986. Sources: Andover opus list; dedicatory recital program.
